  • Position: Station Clerk - Cookridge - (Fixed Term until April 2019)

    As a key member of Cookridge fire station you will be responsible for general admin duties and support our District Prevention team. Applicants must be proficient typists, have knowledge of Word Processing systems, Excel spreadsheets and good keyboard skills. The successful candidate will be literate and numerate, able to work flexibly and on their own initiative. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are a pre-requisite.

  • Position: Human Resources Assistant - 29 Hours - Temporary for 12 Months

    Salary: £14,634 to £ 15,241 per annum for 29 hours (Full time equivalent £18,672 to £19,446)

    Description:

    An opportunity has arisen to work within a leading Fire and Rescue Service’s Human Resources department. As a key member of the team you will provide administrative support to the department for a range of HR processes including recruitment, terminations, changes to employees’ terms and conditions, payroll and also undertake induction sessions and general office duties.

    Applicants must possess excellent word processing skills and administrative experience in a Human Resources environment. The successful candidate will have experience of Microsoft Office applications and be able to work on their own initiative to meet conflicting deadlines.

  • Position: Watch Manager A - Rawdon Fire Station (Day Crewing)

    An opportunity has arisen for a wholetime Watch Manager to join one of the country's leading fire and rescue services working at Rawdon Fire Station on the Day Crewing (DC) duty system.

    Staff members working the DC duty system are required to reside within a 5 minute turn in area of the station in either permanent or rented accommodation for which an additional allowance is payable.

    Applications are welcome from existing wholetime Watch Managers and competent wholetime Crew Managers as a promotion opportunity.

    To be considered applicants must have successfully passed Level 3 Certificate in Fire Service Operations AND Level 3 Certificate in Fire Engineering and Science OR Level 3 Certificate in Fire Safety.
