The new Dewsbury Fire Station opened in August 2015. It is located at Carlton Road and allows quick access onto Bradford Road (A652) and Halifax Road (A638) providing good links into Dewsbury and Batley.
The station is staffed by 44 whole time firefighters and a team of specialist officers work from the site, providing a first class response service. In addition the provision of a dedicated facility will enable continuation of the successful Young Firefighters programme within Kirklees.
