Bingley Fire Station

The aim of Bingley Fire Station is to provide a well-trained, professional service, 24 hours a day 7 days a week, in order to protect the people, homes, businesses and environment of Bingley and its surrounding areas.

Bingley Fire Station was built in 1972 and is situated to the north of Bradford. The team is made up of an Assistant District Commander, who also manages Shipley Fire Station, 2 Watch Commanders, 20 firefighters and a Station Clerk.

The station has one appliance and a Water Rescue boat. The crew are all Swift Water Rescue Technicians and can respond anywhere within West Yorkshire with this capability. Swift Water Rescue and Water Rescue Boat are part of a national resilience and can be deployed anywhere in the country during spate conditions as has been the case on a number of previous occasions.

The station continues to improve the service delivered to local communities by communicating and co- working with key multi agency partners, in order to deliver a more detailed service.

Training sessions are conducted with partners, and members of staff meet regularly with the ward representatives (Bingley and Bingley Rural) in order to address what is the best way to move forward in providing a collective service for the public.

These partners assist in identifying people most at risk and providing referrals for the safe and well visits that staff will conduct on a daily basis.  Staff will also continue to actively participate in local community safety projects and strive to reach the most vulnerable members of the community.

All members of staff will train on a daily basis against the risks for Bingley and surrounding areas, and will help businesses with fire prevention advice.
