Fairweather Green Fire Station was built in 1963 and is situated at Thornton Road, Fairweather Green. The station commander is responsible for both Fairweather Green and Odsal fire stations. There is one front line fire appliance which is staffed 24 hours a day by 24 fire fighters and additional support staff making a total of 26 members.
The station covers the whole or some parts of the following wards: Clayton and Fairweather Green, Thornton and Allerton, Toller, Heaton, Great Horton, City and Manningham.
Station personnel are developing various partnerships which help identify where safe and well visits are needed and fire safety advice is required. Crews are also engaged with local schools to provide a safety education package to year five as well as working with local businesses and groups to encourage better fire safety.
