Killingbeck Fire Station, opened on 6th October 2015, is located on the A64 York Road and allows easy access to East Leeds and the City Centre. The station also provides effective links with Garforth, Moortown and Wetherby stations. The station is staffed by a station commander (who also manages Wetherby), 44 operational and additional support staff work from the site and two whole time fire appliances are available to respond from site 24/7, providing a first class response service. In addition, the community room facility enables the continuation of a successful youth training provision within Leeds District and a community room facility for local agencies and groups to meet.
