Building Fire - Burmantofts, Leeds

Firefighters from Leeds, Hunslet and Killingbeck Fire Stations responded to report of a shop on fire and on arrival were made aware that someone was still inside the building and the incident was made persons reported.  

This was a two-storey building and the fire was found in the ceiling between the ground and first floor and was 50 percent involved.  Firefighters used 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels to extinguish the fire, and a high-pressure fan to clear the smoke.  One casualty with smoke inhalation was handed into the care of Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
