Crews are still in attendance at a building fire in Knottingley, however the fire is now contained.

There are no road closures in place, but members of the public should avoid the area if possible.

Update at 9:45, 17/11/2022:

Crews from Dewsbury and Pontefract remain on scene, and one ground monitor is in use.

Update at 12:00, 17/11/2022

The incident has now been closed. 

Description:

Fire crews are in attendance at a building fire at Fernley Green Road, Knottingley.

Building is 100m x 100m in size. 10% involved in fire.

8 fire appliances are at the scene. Using 1 ground monitor and 3 large jets to tackle the fire.

Crews from neighbouring brigades are also in attendance.
