Domestic property fire - Pellon, Halifax

Crews called out to a kitchen fire of a domestic property. 100 per cent of kitchen involved in fire. Gas board were requested due to a ruptured gas main inside the property. Kitchen measured 5m x 10m and crews used 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels to extinguish fire. Together Housing were requested to attend by crews for securing property and making electrics safe as well as providing temporary accomodation for the resident due to the extent of damage caused by the smoke and fire. The Red Cross also requested to assist with provision of clothing.
