Multiple calls into the control room reporting a garage on fire in the Mount area of Huddersfield. On arrival crews made a request for assistance of 6 pumps (fire engines)

This location was a retail garage and workshop. Fire has affected 14 cars externally. There was a risk of the fire spreading on all 4 sides of the premise. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus and 2 large jets to extinguish the fire.

6 Fire engines, specialist support crews and officers attended. Fire investigation is in progress.


0220 Update

Incident is now reduced to 4 fire engines and fire investigation is ongoing.


0300 Update

Incident is being scaled down to 1 fire engine who will remain to damp down and support fire investigation.


0700 Update

1 crew remains at the scene damping down.

 

0900 Update

This incident is now closed and all fire service personnel have left the scene
