Wildfire on Marsden Moor

A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Firefighters are currently in attendance at a wildfire on Marsden Moor. We were called at just before 12.30pm today to the site at Butterley Reservoir, Wessenden Road in Marsden which has reignited following a fire at the site earlier this week. The fire currently measures 100 meters. Crews in attendance are wildfire specialists from Slaithwaite, Meltham, Holmfirth, Halifax and Mytholmroyd. The all terrain Argocat and Polaris vehicles are also in attendance.”
