A team of firefighters who recently represented West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service in New York City are back on home soil and ready to fight again!

Our firefighters helped raise $30,000 for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation charity by taking part in the annual boxing fundraiser 'Thrilla in Camilla' earlier this month on Rockaway Beach in Queens. Now they’re taking part in their own boxing extravaganza this weekend at Yeadon Town Hall, Leeds on Sunday 24th July.

Organiser and boxer Rich Fella said: “New York was one of the best experiences of our life – it was fantastic to be representing West Yorkshire on an international scale – but we can’t wait to get back in front of our home crowds now.

“The first FireFight was held a few years ago in Leeds and was a great night so it’s fantastic to be back after COVID to fight again – and FireFight 2 promises to showcase our boxing skills with some really exciting matches forecast – a must see for any boxing fans!

“Once again we’re raising funds for the Fire Fighters Charity, which offers invaluable support for firefighters in rehabilitating them from injury and supporting them through challenging times.”
