
Additionally, supporting documents including books, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts can be inspected. Copies of these documents or of the accounts can be requested. However please be aware the law does not grant the right to inspect documents protected by commercial confidentiality, or to see personal information relating to individuals.
The accounts are accessible online and in person at Fire Service HQ, Oakroyd Hall, Bradford Road, Birkenshaw, BD11 2DY, by prior arrangement. To make an appointment please call 01274 682311.
During the public inspection period, council electors and their representatives may ask the approved auditor questions about the accounts or raise objections. Please direct any questions or objections to the approved auditor at the following address:

A local elector can make an objection to the auditor if they believe that;
- An item of the accounts is unlawful, or
- It is in the public interest that something should be considered by West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue or brought to the attention of the public.
To object to the accounts, please contact the approved auditor at the address provided above. Your objection must be in writing and clearly state the grounds for the objection. A copy of the objection must also be sent to the Director of Finance and Procurement at the address below:
