Report of person fallen between narrowboat and canal wall.

The casualty was rescued by fire crews using a sled to bring them to the banking, before being assessed by the paramedics in attendance.

Report of a male who had been walking his dog and was now stuck in a culvert in fast flowing water following inclement weather.  Crews on scene requested a further water rescue crew and the assistance of Ambulance Hazardous Area Response Team for use of their water rescue assets.  The male was rescued from the water and checked over by Ambulance Service. Police also attended.

Call received from police to report of male in water. 1 casualty rescued by fire service and handed to care of paramedics for transporting to hospital.

Crews were called to rescue two deer from the canal.  A specialist officer and water rescue team were mobilised to this incident. Despite our best efforts the deer did not survive the ordeal.

West Yorks Fire service were called to reports of 2 males in the canal near Chantry Bridge, Doncaster Road, Wakefield. 2 males were rescued from the water by fire service personnel.

Reports received of 1 female in the canal on Armouries Drive in Leeds. Full water rescue attendance sent and on arrival crews confirmed one female had been rescued from the water by a member of the public prior to the arrival of the fire service using the throwline adjacent to the canal. Casualty administered first aid by the fire service before being placed in the care of ambulance crews.
