Domestic property, reports of house explosion with no fire, 2 casualties walking wounded in care of paramedics, further casualties are unaccounted for, the technical rescue unit and the urban search and rescue dog are attending to carry out further searches.

We were called at 16.07 by West Yorkshire Police to assist with a building collapse on Kirkgate in Leeds.

We currently have several crews in attendance including;

2 crews from Leeds

1 crew from Hunslet

The technical rescue team from Cleckheaton

The aerial ladder appliance from Wakefield.

Work is ongoing at the building.

All crews have left the scene, leaving this incident in the hands of our colleagues at West Yorkshire Police. No casualties were found.
