Fire damping down. 4 crews attending.

Scrapyard with multiple vehicles and tyres involved in fire. Crews from Ossett, Dewsbury, Wakefield, Morley, Hunslet, Pontefract and Normanton are in attendance along with supporting officers and resources.

Damping down continues.

The incident has now been reduced further to 3 fire appliances.

22:27 - Update

Damping down in progress.  Fire now out.  

The incident has been scaled back to 6 fire appliances.  We will remain on scene throughout the night.

19:53 - Initial call

Two storey building. Single storey extension 30m x 15m 100% involved in fire.

Crews have been busy across the brigade area dealing with Dangerous Structures caused by the high winds. Incidents included reports of fallen trees and branches in precarious positions, damage to roofs and objects in danger of falling from properties. In total 33 incidents required an attendance of which approximately half required no further action after being assessed by fire service officers. The remaining incidents were dealt with and made safe by fire appliances including pumps and aerial appliances.

Fire in loft area of domestic property. Crews used 2 Hose Reels, 1 Breathing Apparatus to extinguish the fire, and one Aerial Appliance to investigate fire spread in the roof.

More than 15 crews from across the service are currently fighting a large fire in a four-storey building on Sunbridge Rd, central Bradford, following a call at 01:33am today.

Please avoid the area if possible while emergency services tackle the incident.

Specialist teams are also in attendance.

Bungalow on fire approximately 15m by 20m. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus sets, 2 hose reels, 1 aerial appliance and ventilation fans to help extinguish the fire.

Make pumps 4 and aerials 1 - Fire in single storey building, 20 metres x 10 metres, 10 per cent involved in fire, crews used 1 hose reel, 2 breathing apparatus, 1 aerial appliance and a high powered fan to clear smoke from the building.

Fire crews are in attendance at a single story commercial building on Barras Garth Road, Upper Wortley.

Crews and an aerial appliance are in attendance.

The police are also in attendance.

Fire in an industrial premise, building single storey measuring 70 metres by 30 metres, 50 per cent of building involved in fire. This incident was made pumps 6 and aerials 1 on arrival. Crews have used 1 Jet, 2 hose reels, 4 breathing apparatus and high powered fans to clear smoke from the building. Incident is now in the process of being scaled down and 2 pumps will remain in attendance.

Fire in kitchen of flat on 5th floor of a High Rise Block. This was a small fire and was out on arrival of fire service. 1 male casualty suffered smoke inhalation ans was given oxygen therapy by fire crews. Casualty was then handed over into care of ambulance crews. Smoke detection was fitted and did actuate.
