You can help West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service by joining the very busy Procurement Team, delivering service support to frontline crews by facilitating compliant procurement in the public sector.

Job Purpose: To take ownership for the day-to-day administrative and support requirements associated with a wide range of procurement activity including stakeholder management, advice on efficient sourcing and procurement of goods and services, increasing compliance with internal procurement rules and legislative requirements and facilitation of the complex end-to-end tendering process, maintaining the necessary relevant records and systems to ensure transparency and a clear audit trail of procurement activity.

Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for supporting the Procurement Team and its customers across the full range of procurement activities including (but not limited to) meetings (arranging and minute taking), benchmarking, market intelligence, drafting contract specifications, spend analysis and other commercial support as required (refer to the Job Description) maintaining the necessary relevant records and systems to ensure transparency and a clear audit trail of procurement activity.

Essential requirements: You will:

  • Have demonstrable workplace experience of working with Information Technology applications at an advanced user level.
  • Have experience of providing comprehensive administerial support, using your ability to analyse, interpret and present data.
  • Exhibit and maintain personal and professional honesty and integrity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality with discretion, tact, and sensitivity.
  • Be able to effectively develop and manage many relationships, ensuring that all communications with stakeholders, customers and suppliers are appropriate and prompt.
  • Hold GCSE Grade ‘C’ Maths and English or an equivalent level 2 numeracy and literacy qualification or are able to demonstrate an equivalent level of literacy and numeracy gained through life experience.
  • Be able to demonstrable workplace experience of planning and prioritising workload and output, working independently and as a team player, working to tight deadlines.
  • Be able to demonstrate commitment to good data quality and attention to detail within all areas of work.
  • Possess an understanding of the importance of equality and diversity.

Whilst you will be required to work from our offices for parts of your initial training, after this you'll work both in the office and from home as part of our 'hybrid' working model, cognisant of business requirements. Job Purpose: Provide an efficient and sustainable Corporate Services department dedicated to first class customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will supervise a team within the Corporate Services functions ensuring appropriate cover at all times including allocating workloads, carrying out detailed work for the variety of Corporate Services functions including research and presentation of information in various formats.
  • You will facilitate various meetings, create and maintain records to ensure effective corporate governance and manage the Service’s complaints procedure providing advice to Senior Officers and Management on policy, procedures and guidelines and deal with complainants which can be confidential, sensitive and difficult in nature.
  • You will formulate and develop plans, policies and strategies and maintain productive working relationships internally and externally.

Essential requirements: 

  • Experience in advising on policy matters, exercising a high level of initiative, tact, discretion and diplomacy plus experience of dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Extensive experience of Microsoft Office and other ICT applications to an excellent level of proficiency, considerable experience in the production of detailed reports and statistics where accuracy is essential.
  • Experience of supervising a multi-disciplinary team, able to establish priorities and manage own workload and that of the team.
  • Ability and/or qualifications at BTEC Higher National, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent.
  • IT User skills at an advanced level, with a Level 3 qualification such as RSA, BCS, ECDL or equivalent, plus evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people and organisations.

Job Purpose: To ensure the effective delivery and management of ICT services within the Authority, with a focus on Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint, and PowerPlatform tools. The role involves upholding the ICT Service Level Agreement, managing M365 applications, providing user support and training, and supporting decision-making processes. Additionally, the post holder will facilitate the Fire and Rescue Authority's objectives, administer identity and access management solutions, and provide technical support to various departments. 

Key Responsibilities: As an M365 Administrator, you will configure and manage Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, to ensure optimal functionality. You'll enable teams to leverage M365 and PowerPlatform capabilities for enhanced productivity and collaboration. You'll manage complex identity and access management solutions, apply PowerShell and scripting tools for M365 automation, and build basic PowerApps / PowerAutomates to streamline business processes. Collaboration with IT teams, stakeholders, and end-users is key, as is providing proficient user support and conducting training sessions. 

Essential requirements:

  1. Proven experience in M365 and SharePoint administration and deployment with a focus on PowerPlatform.
  2. Technical expertise in Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint, and PowerPlatform tools.
  3. Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
  4. SharePoint certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Associate) or equivalent experience.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  6. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  7. Strong collaboration and teamwork capabilities.
