Road traffic collision involving two cars.  One male casualty with hand injuries was extricated by Fire Service Personnel and transported to hospital by Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

A slight increase has been approved for the council tax precept for fire, at a meeting of the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority (WYFRA).

We were called at 08.04 today to reports of a fire at Oatland Towers.

 

We currently have seven crews in attendance plus our aerial ladder from Bradford and our command and welfare units.

 

The top two floors (15 and 16) have been evacuated.

Cooking materials involved. 1 hose reel, 2 breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation used. 1 adult female rescued from flat by fire service personnel.

Appliances from Pontefract, Featherstone & Castleford attended.

1 vehicle crashed into a house. 3 persons extricated and 2 air lifted to hospital.

Road traffic collision, this was a car into a parked vehicle, car ended up on it's side. 1 person was extricated by fire service personnel.

Reports of a building on fire, on arrival at the incident this was made up to 6 pumps plus specialist appliances.  This is a 2 storey domestic property, 20m by 20m 100% involved in fire, 2 large jets, 2 hose reels and 2 breathing apparatus in use.

Incident has now been reduced to 4 fire engines and will be reduced to 2 fire engines at 02:00.

Flat fire, kitchen involved, chip pan left unattended, 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan were used to extinguish the fire, there were no injuries.

2 cars involved with 2 females trapped. Extrication carried out by fire service personnel and left in care of paramedics.
