Crews from Ilkley, Silsden and Otley Fire Stations responded to a report of smoke coming from a door leading to the cellar of a public house. On arrival crews passed a priority message to increase the attendance to 4 fire engines, and shortly after to 5, for additional personnel. They confirmed this was a basement involved in fire.
Crews are currently in attendance at a Mill fire in the Castleford area. They are using 2 large jets, 2 hose reels and 1 ground monitor to fight the fire.
2 cars involved, 1 person trapped, extricated by fire service crews on scene and handed over to waiting paramedics for treatment.
Fire involving dryer in the basement of a domestic property. 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels and positive pressure ventilation used by fire service personnel for smoke clearance. Property was fitted with working smoke alarms at time of incident.
