A derelict youth centre in Bradford is to be pulled down in the coming days following a deliberate fire which ripped through the building early yesterday morning.

Single storey building fire.  Building used as a youth centre and measured approximately 10m x 15m.  Fire located in roof 25% of building involved. No casualties were reported.

Fire service staff are showing their commitment to diversity and inclusion with an event to help colleagues understand more about the LGBTQ+ community.

Report of house fire persons reported, on arrival all persons were out of the property.

One hose reel and two breathing apparatus used.  The Ambulance was requested for 2 casualties; one male with burns to hands and back, and one male with burns to feet.

Derelict building fire consisting of 4 floors with persons reported. 6 breathing apparatus,  4 hose reel jets and positive pressure ventilation used. After searching the property no persons were involved.

Initially mobilised as building fire, made up by Control due to number of calls received.

Appliances from Leeds (2), Hunslet and Killinbeck attended along with support from the technical rescue unit from Cleckheaton and the drone team.

A fire investigation officer also attended.

Fire crews attended a fire at a terraced domestic property, the fire was located on the 3rd floor attic. 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 1 positive pressure ventilation fan was used. 1 male casualty suffered from smoke inhalation.

Moorland fire, approximately 600 x 400 metres, crews using 4 blowers 8 beaters and argocat fogging unit to extinguish fire. 6 pumps plus support are currently in attendance. Appliances from Slaithwaite, Todmorden, Huddersfield, Mytholmroyd, Holmfirth attended with specialist support crews.

Ensure candles are kept away from flammable objects and are never left unattended

Crews responded to a garage fire and on arrival made pumps 3 confirming this was a commercial garage measuring approximately 10m x 5m.  Building was 10 percent involved in fire.  1 hose reel, 2 breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire, and positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke.

Crews responded to a kitchen fire involving the oven.  2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel were used to extinguish the fire.  Positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke.
