House fire in semi detached property, fire was confined to the living room. One adult female was rescued by Fire Service personnel and left in care of the Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel and positive pressure ventilation to extinguish the fire.

Fire engines from Dewsbury (x2) and Mirfield attended.

Reports of a new born calf stuck in the middle of a pond.  Technical rescue crews used specialist animal rescue techniques and equipment to rescue the calf and deliver it back to its mother.

Reports of a car crashed into a fence, wedged between a caravan and debris.  1 casualty trapped but not injured, released by fire crews.

Call from owners of a terrier dog who had become stuck down a fox hole.  Technical Rescue Team sent to rescue dog by digging out the hole and handed back over to the owners on scene.

Single storey building 100% involved. 1 hose reel, 4 breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation used.

2 appliances from Dewsbury and 1 from Mirfield attended.

New steps have been taken to keep our furry friends in West Yorkshire safe – thanks to a generous donation from a local anim

20:17 Initial crews mobilised to a developing fire in the Castleford area.

20:35 After identification of the best access, crews requested a 2nd fire engine to assist with access and water supplies.

21:00 Fire estimated to be 20m x 15m - 2 large jets in use and 2 more fire engines requested to assist.

21:45 5 Large Jets being used to extinguish fire and protect further firespread.

22:20 Firefighting and damping down still underway.

23:30 All crews leaving the scene and incident closed.

UPDATE 17:30 The moorland fire is out and damping down is in progress. Crews are now leaving the area.

Crews from across West Yorkshire are in attendance at a Moorland Fire in Marsden. The fire is approx 300m x 300m and specialist Wildfire crews are dealing with the incident.

2 Floors. Approximately 30 metres x 30 metres, 50 % of building involved in fire. 2 Breathing apparatus, 3 jets and 1 hose reel used.

Domestic property fire.  Fire located on the 2nd floor and roof.   4  breathing apparatus, 2  hose reel jets and positive pressure ventilation fan in use.

All persons accounted for. Aerial also in use to damp down. Crews making scene safe.
