Woodland involved, 150m x 150m. on arrival, first crew made up to 5 pumps and then increased to 10 pumps.

4 hose reels, 4 beaters used.

Appliances from Normanton, South Kirkby, Castleford, Wakefield, Ossett, Morley, Pontefract, Garforth, Stanningley, Bradford, Wildfire and support from Holmfirth and Skelmanthorpe.

Commercial car garage and multiple cars involved in fire. Building is 5m x 20m and 100% involved. Crews used 3 large jets, 4 breathing apparatus & 1 aerial appliance. Supporting officers also in attendance.

Approx. 150 – 200 bales of hay involved in fire, 1 ground monitor & 2 large jets used.

Appliances from Fairweather Green, Bingley, Shipley and Bradford, Hose Layer and Support pump  from Mirfield.

Residents of Thornton are advised to keep doors and windows closed as the smoke plume is heading in that direction. The fire is expected to burn all day.

Tractor fire spread to barn, approx. 10m x 10m.  2 large jets used.

Appliances from Mytholmroyd, Halifax, Todmorden, Illingworth and Keighley attended.

3 storey property with attic involved in fire.  4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels used.  No exposure risk. 

Smoke detectors were fitted and working at the time of the incident.

On Saturday July 2, the Bradford Dragon Boat Festival returned to Saltaire.

2 cars involved with 1 male trapped. Extrication carried out by fire service personnel and casualty transferred to hospital by ambulance.

Flat fire Persons reported. Fire in kitchen of ground floor flat in 2 storey building, chip pan involved, crews used 1 hose reel and 2 breathing apparatus, 1 male occupant led to safety and was suffering from smoke inhalation, checked over by paramedics but did not go to hospital. Crews also rescued 2 occupants by ladder from the balcony of flat above, both uninjured. Smoke detection fitted and did actuate.

Building fire, make pumps 5. Fire in ground floor bar area of building, 100 per cent involved in fire, crews used 4 hose reels. Incident was made persons reported and crews evacuated a neighbouring building, but after a search it was found that no persons were involved.
