Crews are currently in attendance assisting in the rescue of a peregrine falcon trapped in netting on the roof of a university building.
Report of person fallen 50 to 60 feet down cliff edge.
On arrival a 15 year old male was located down a steep banking with injuries to his spine, he was rescued by the fire service, transported on stretcher to waiting ambulance and then taken to hospital.
Update at 07:30 11 June: Incident now scaled down to two fire engines.
Crews from 12 stations are in attendance at a building fire in Elmfield Road in Morley. Please avoid the area and if local, keep doors and windows closed until the fire subsides.
Fire in a mechanics diagnostic garage. Building approximately 100m x 20m 10% involved in fire. 1 large jet, 3 hose reels and 4 breathing apparatus used to extinguish the fire.
House fire. Kitchen involved, crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel and a high powered fan to clear smoke from property. 1 male occupant suffered slight smoke inhalation and made own way to hospital for treatment.
Fire in domestic property. Chip pan involved, crews used 1 hose reel, 2 breathing apparatus and a high powered fan to clear smoke from property. 1 male occupant suffered smoke inhalation and was given oxygen therapy by fire service crews and then handed over into care of paramedics.
Fire in basement of a high rise domestic premise. Fire involved 2 cars and caused smoke logging to majority of floors of the property. Crews used 8 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels and 1 large jets. Crews also used 4 high powered fans to clear smoke from the affected floors. All residents evacuated the premise safely.
