Fire in bedroom of property. Crews made incident persons reported on arrival but after a search it was found that no persons were inside. Crews used 2 hose reels, 4 breathing apparatus and a high powered fan to clear smoke from the property, 1 female suffered burns to finger and was treated at the scene by ambulance crews but unsure if she required hospital treatment. Smoke detectors were fitted and did actuate.

We are currently dealing with a large building fire in the King Cross area of Halifax. Residents are advised to keep doors and windows closed. Crews from across the brigade are in attendance.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service welcomes 11 new firefighters following the latest pa

RTC involving a car and a heavy goods vehicle.  1 casualty was trapped in the car, and were extricated by crews and handed over to waiting paramedics for treatment.

Building fire, 15 metres by 15 metres, 20 per cent involved in fire. Incident was made pumps 5 and aerials 1 on arrival. Crews have used 2 hose reels, 4 breathing apparatus, 2 jets and high powered fans to clear smoke from building. Technical Rescue Unit was requested or Building Softening but was not required. Incident has now been scaled back to 3 pumps

2 females stuck 60ft up on a quarry ledge. Fire Service used specialist line rescue crews and equipment to lower them to safety. No injuries reported. 

Technical rescue unit attended from Cleckheaton along with supporting officers along with appliances from Bradford, Bingley, Stanningley and Leeds stations.

Two crews (Odsal and Illingworth) remain at the scene this morning alongside Bradford's ALP (Aerial Ladder Platform).

Road traffic collision involving two cars.  One female casualty trapped.  Extrication carried out by fire service personnel and casualty transported to hospital by Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

Two appliances from Hunslet Fire Station attended.

Four firefighters will retire this year, leaving behind a total of 98 years’ combined service

Large waste fire approx. 20m x 30m. Exposure to 1 side. Plant machinery in use to make fire break.

8 fire appliances, 1 aerial appliance and specialist units from across the brigade are in attendance at this incident.

Local residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed.
