Freezer in cellar involved in fire, with crews using 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel to extinguish the fire.  Crews requested ambulances for 1 adult and 1 child occupant who suffered from smoke inhalation.

More than 15 crews from across the service are currently fighting a large fire in a four-storey building on Sunbridge Rd, central Bradford, following a call at 01:33am today.

Please avoid the area if possible while emergency services tackle the incident.

Specialist teams are also in attendance.

Update at 13:20pm, 2 January 2022:

The tyre fire outside the old maggot farm on Stocking Lane, Knottingley, near the River Aire, is now being scaled down.

A controlled burn out will now be allowed, as the Fire Service works in partnership with the Environment Agency and other partners. Localised smoke is likely to continue. The site is secured and will be continually monitored.

Crews from Stanningley, Cookridge, Pontefract, Castleford, Garforth and Normanton were called to the site at 05:30am yesterday morning, on New Year's Day. 

Crews responded to a fire in a first floor flat of a two storey block.  Fire was located in the doorway to the hall.  2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel used to extinguish the fire.  Positive pressure ventilation fan used to clear smoke.  No persons were involved.

Crews from Stanningley, Shipley and Leeds attended.

Single Vehicle Road Traffic Collision with 1 person trapped after car was in collision with a street light. Female casualty was released by fire service personnel and then transported to hospital by ambulance.
