A crew from Bradford responded to the report of a dog that was trapped in ice on a lake. Crews had donned a dry suit but did not enter the water as the dog had managed to start swimming towards the edge of the lake and was rescued by fire service personnel.
Normanton crew responded to a Labrador puppy that had fallen approximately 15ft down an open culvert. The puppy was rescued by Fire Service Personnel and left in the care of the owner.
Tech Rescue resources were also mobilised but stood down prior to arrival.
Crews from Rawdon and Cookridge responded to a road traffic collision involving 4 cars and a pick-up. 2 adult male casualties both approximately 70 years of age trapped in one of the vehicles were extricated by Fire service personnel and taken to hospital by ambulance.
Crew from Todmorden responded to a vehicle that was on its side, assistance also requested from Greater Manchester and Littleborough appliance was also mobilised but stood down prior to arrival. One female casualty trapped in vehicle extricated by fire service personnel and handed over to Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
At 01:23 we got reports of a building fire, this was reports of smoke issuing from vents in the vicinity of the kitchen area of the local pub, on arrival the incident was made up to 6 pumps.
This was fire in the kitchen on the ground floor, 20% involved in fire, 2 hose reels and 4 breathing apparatus where used to extinguish the fire. The fire was extinguished at 02:47 and fire fighting operations continued to damp down the fire.
1 car involved in RTC with 1 person trapped, extricated by crews on scene and handed over to YAS for transportation to hospital.
2 x Hunslet appliances attended.
Fire on ground floor and basement of property, on arrival this incident was made up to 4 pumps and also made persons reported. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels and a high powered fan to clear smoke from the property. After search of property it was found that no persons were involved.
Road traffic collision involving 1 car, 1 female was trapped, casualty was released by fire service personnel and then transported to hospital by ambulance.
Reports received of a male on the banking of the river. On arrival crews confirmed this was 1 male stuck in the river and was rescued by fire service personnel. Ambulance crews were requested to assess the casualty due to potential for hypothermia.
Fire in ground floor living room. Fire extinguished using 1 hose reel and 4 breathing apparatus sets. Ambulances requested for 2 males suffering from the effects of smoke.
