Small fire out on arrival. 1 elderly male suffered smoke inhalation and crews gave first aid until arrival of Ambulance. 

Smoke detection installed and worked. 

Fire investigation officer not required.

We currently have a number of crews in attendance at a moorland fire in Marsden. We were called today at 13.30 to reports of a fire near March Haigh Reservoir.

The fire front is believed to be around 1.5km. Crews are using the argocat, beaters and blowers to tackle it. The public are being asked to avoid the area.

Crews in attendance at this time including supporting crews are: Meltham, Slaithwaite, Holmfirth, Skelmanthorpe Todmorden and Halifax.

Road traffic collision involving 1 car, with 1 casualty trapped.  Fire crews extricated the casualty and handed them over to the waiting ambulance for treatment. 

High voltage electrical sub-station involved in fire.  1 casualty suffered from burns and was taken to hospital via ambulance. 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel were used to extinguish the fire.  Fire crews worked closely with Police and Northern Powergrid in order to resolve the issue.

Barn fire, single storey, 40 metres x 15 metres. Fire on ground floor, 100% involved. Building was used to store vehicles. 

Crews used 2 ground monitors, 2 hose reels and 2 large jets to extinguish the fire.
