This was a derelict building on fire, on arrival fire crews made pumps 4. 50% of the first floor of the building was involved in fire. 2 Large jet, 4 Breathing apparatus, and 1 aerial ladder platform was used to extinguish fire.
Around 04:25 Fire Control received multiple calls to a building on fire and mobilised 3 fire engines to the scene.
Multi-occupancy commercial premises approx. 50m x 20m
2nd floor 100% involved and ground floor 50% involved.
On arrival, initial crews requested 5 fire engines and 1 aerial appliance - this also triggered supporting resources and officers.
Shortly afterwards, they requested a further fire engine and aerial appliance.
Incident commanders sectorised the incident into 4 sectors to provide a spread of resources and effective span of control.
Building fire, fire spread to roof. Crews requested an aerial appliance to deal with the roof void. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels and the aerial appliance to deal with the fire. Exposure risk to 1 side.
Building fire, crews made pumps 4 on arrival. 3 storey building, 30m x 60m. Crews used 8 breathing apparatus, 4 hose reel jets and a high powered fan to clear the smoke.
1 vehicle involved, on its side, 1 person trapped. Crews extricated casualty and left them in the care of the Ambulance Service on scene.
Two storey semi-detached property. Fire in kitchen, 15% involved. Two casualties with smoke inhalation rescued by fire service personnel and taken to hospital by Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
No smoke detection installed in property.

We were called at 13.57 today to reports of a moorland fire off Greenfield Road in Holmfirth. We currently have 10 crews and supporting wildfire units at the scene or making their way to the scene. We are working with our colleagues at Greater Manchester FRS as the fire is also breaching their area. The fire is currently spreading North towards Marsden.
The public are asked to avoid the area while we continue to work with our partners to bring the fire under control.
We currently have several pumps and wildfire support units at the scene of a large moorland fire near March Haigh Reservoir in Huddersfield.
It is approximately 1.5x1.5km and developing rapidly.
