Fire Control received a report of a fire on an industrial estate, spotted on CCTV from a neighbouring building.
Initial crews arrived and found a very large refuse fire in the open. After initial firefighting actions, crews requested 2 more fire engines to support with personnel and to assist supplying water. Crews are using up to 4 Breathing Apparatus and 3 Large Jets to control and extinguish the fire which has proved to mainly be wood.
Yorkshire Water and The Environment Agency have been informed of the incident.
Firefighters from Leeds, Hunslet and Bradford Stations attended a flat fire in a high rise building.
The fire involved a living room in a second floor flat and upon arrival fire fighters rescued and administered first aid to one male who was suffering the effects of smoke inhalation. 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels were used to extinguish the fire, and a high-pressure fan was used to clear the smoke. Smoke detectors were fitted and actuated.
Calls received at 9.11pm to Fire Control for a road traffic collision involving 2 cars with 1 person trapped.
Fire crews released the casualty and handed over to Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
Moorland Fire - Acres Lane- Holmfirth

Fire fighters from Moortown and Leeds Stations were called to a house fire with a report of someone still inside the property. The fire involved a bedroom which had also affected 25% of the first floor. 2 hose reels, 4 breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire, and a high-pressure fan was used to clear the smoke. As soon as the property had been searched Fire fighters confirmed that no persons were involved. Smoke detectors were fitted and actuated.
Fire fighters from Halifax, Illingworth and Odsal Stations attended the report of a fire in a two-storey mid terraced property. They used 1 hose reel and 2 breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire which was contained to the bathroom. No persons were injured. Smoke detectors were fitted and actuated which alerted the occupants.
