Fire fighters from Moortown and Leeds Stations were called to a house fire with a report of someone still inside the property. The fire involved a bedroom which had also affected 25% of the first floor. 2 hose reels, 4 breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire, and a high-pressure fan was used to clear the smoke. As soon as the property had been searched Fire fighters confirmed that no persons were involved. Smoke detectors were fitted and actuated.
Fire fighters from Halifax, Illingworth and Odsal Stations attended the report of a fire in a two-storey mid terraced property. They used 1 hose reel and 2 breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire which was contained to the bathroom. No persons were injured. Smoke detectors were fitted and actuated which alerted the occupants.
Initial call at 4.18pm to a building on fire on an allotment, proved to be a large barn approx. 20m x 10m that is 100% involved.
Initial crews have requested support from 2 more appliances taking the total number of fire engines in attendance to 5.
A large amount of smoke is being produced by the fire so we would like to ask people to stay away from the area whilst we work and and we advise residents to keep doors and windows closed. Thank you.
Firefighters attended a house fire involving electrics on the ground floor of a two-storey semi-detached property. 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire, and high-pressure fan was used to clear smoke. Smoke detection was installed and working.

First floor flat fire. 2 breathing apparatus,1 hose reel jet and a high powered fan used to extinguish the fire and clear the smoke.. Crews rescued 1 occupant from the property and requested an ambulance due to suffering with smoke inhalation. Smoke detectors were fitted and working at the time of the incident.
We are curently in attendance at a fire at a scrapyard on Bradford Road in Otley. We recieved the call at 15.31.
This fire is approximately 40x40m in size, with a large plume of smoke.
Crews are using foam and large jets to tackle the blaze.
All residents in the local area (LS21) are being asked to keep doors and windows closed due to the smoke in the air.
External fire in garden which spread to flats. Fire fighters used 6 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels and 1 large jet to extinguish the fire, and high pressure fan used to clear the smoke. Smoke detectors were fitted and working.
