Become a Firefighter

Derelict mill building involved, made pumps 4 on arrival.
Building approximately 20m x 40m in size with 50% of the ground floor involved in fire.
Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels and 1 large jet to extinguish the fire.
No persons were involved.
Electric bike involved in fire on ground floor of property. 1 adult male and 1 teenage male rescued from window with ladder by neighbours prior to arrival. 2 further casualties rescued by Fire Service personnel – 1 adult female and 1 baby. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels.
Derelict school, 20m x 10m, 10% involved in fire on the first floor, 6 breathing apparatus, 1 large jet and 2 hose reels used to extinguish the fire. 5 firefighting appliances plus supporting resources and officers attended.
Crews from Wakefield, Ossett, Dewsbury and Hunslet attended.
