Single storey derelict building on fire, 10% involved in fire. 1 hose reel, 2 large jets and 1 aerial ladder platform used. No exposure risks.

Firefighters from Killingbeck, Leeds and Hunslet fire stations responded to a fire in a kitchen in a three-storey mid terraced property.  2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel were used to extinguish the fire.  Two casualties with smoke inhalation were handed into the care of Yorkshire Ambulance Service and then transported to hospital.  There was no working smoke detection fitted.

We currently have 11 crews from across West Yorkshire at the scene of a building fire at Cinderhill Works in the Siddal area of Halifax.

This is believed to be a derelict building, 20x30m, 50% involved in flames. 

Crews are using large jets including an aerial appliance to tackle the fire.

Please avoid the area, and all residents in the HX3 area and beyond keep doors and windows shut - there is a large smoke plume.

Fire crews were called to a building fire where machinery and approximately 3 metres of waste were involved in fire. Crews requested further assistance and 5 fire engines and 1 aerial ladder platform and support was deployed. The fire was quickly brought under control using 4 breathing apparatus and 2 large jets. A fire investigation officer is also on scene.

Building fire - building measures 100m x 50m. Crews protecting neighbouring commercial units.

6 fire engines, 1 aerial appliance and supporting appliances and officers in attendance.

Crews are also being supported by Northern Gas Networks, Yorkshire Ambulance Service and West Yorkshire Police.

Multiple calls into the control room reporting a garage on fire in the Mount area of Huddersfield. On arrival crews made a request for assistance of 6 pumps (fire engines)

This location was a retail garage and workshop. Fire has affected 14 cars externally. There was a risk of the fire spreading on all 4 sides of the premise. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus and 2 large jets to extinguish the fire.

6 Fire engines, specialist support crews and officers attended. Fire investigation is in progress.

Fire in a bedroom of a two storey back-to-back terraced property measuring approximately 4m x 5m.  Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used 1 hose reel to extinguish the fire and a high-pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the property.  No persons were involved.  Hard wired smoke detection was fitted and actuated.

Firefighters from Keighley, Odsal and Fairweather Green Stations attended.
